You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word.
Psalm 119:114 | ESV
When I was a little girl, I had a favorite hiding place in the tree beside our garage. There was a wisteria bush growing around the lower trunk. When I climbed above the purple flowers, high up in the tree , I was hidden from the world below, yet as high in the sky as a six year old could climb.
I find myself searching for that place free from the world below. My hiding place these days is on my porch reading the Bible. You know, there is so much wisdom in each book that I read. I also find my shield of protection in the perfect truth in God's words.
I am blessed where I live in the country. No matter your location, time with our Lord takes you away from these troubled times. Give yourself a gift, time away with God.
Grab your cup of coffee, prop your feet up, and discover your peace of mind deep in the pages of your Bible.
