Lambert kid updates
Joshua left in August to study Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. So there are only three of us in Mexico now. We miss him so, but he is studying happily in Huntsville.
Karina is doing an internship with Disney, until the end of the year in Orlando.
Hannah Leah and Daniel had a great mission trip to Israel this summer.
Cristianna and Ryan are loving his new pastor role in Boise, ID.
The Church Plant
Iglesia Bíblica Rey Eterno is growing and well. We had about 50 people the last Sunday that we were there. Denise had 12 kids in Sunday School under 12. About half of them come to church without their parents.
We were very grateful for a great team from Sherman, Texas who helped us with STEAM Camps. We served many groups of up to 50 children. Thank you GBCS for your excellent preparation and creativity and servant hearts. Several of the children in the area now attend alone on Sundays with 'Miss Denise' in Sunday School.
Persecution in a new Mission in San Miguelito
What a blessing, visiting an extended family in a small village north of Querétaro; 13 people prayed to receive Christ when I shared the gospel with a large group. We are now in Bible studies with them. Unfortunately, due to intense persecution, the group has shrunk to 6. They say there has never been a Christian presence in this village. The local leader wants me to train him for the mission work there.
Denise and I recently finished Parenting studies from Family Life. Five couples went through the series at an independent church. We also took our 3 leader families in our church plant through this study as well. I am also taking a new church through book 2, Old Testament, in the Bible Institute classes.
New Ministries and Opportunities
In September we traveled to the Pacific Coast to set up a new Bible Institute. We met with several key leaders in Mazatlan. The fellow closest is a graduate of the Institute in a nearby city, who recently graduated and recommended us to them. We had over 50 attend the training! There are no trained leaders to replace the pastor who is close to retirement age.
I participated in a theological conference for Latin American leaders, in Brazil. I was blessed to visit with reps from DTS Hispanic ministry and SETECA and to meet new contacts who desire help in training future leaders. One is in a new area with Indigenous groups in Peru! This would be a 5th city and new denomination to serve, if the Lord provides for this need. Rebekah accompanied me and turned while 17 there!
