Missionaries spreading the love of Christ throughout the world

Chapel Missions at Home and Abroad

"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Matthew 28:19-20

Proclaiming Christ and His Word

Missions ministries and the support of mission ministries is an important part of worhship here at Hilltop Lakes Chapel. As supported ministries of the The Chapel, the people and organizations are partners in our worship. The Chapel is committed in financially helping four missionaries that are located around the world, plus our sister church in Hungary. Every dollar given to our Chapel budget twenty-three and one-half percent is allocated to missions. With these donations we are able to help them, Nine other local missions located in surrounding counties, and two others located outside of Texas.

The Chapel Missions committee members work diligently throughout the year with all these mission partners. Together we work to share the love and grace of God through Jesus Christ around the world and through a variety of venues.

missions monthly spotlight

Our Missions Team is committed to serving programs both locally and beyond. This month, we would like to highlight one of our esteemed local partners, the Normangee Food Pantry. The Pantry originally operated from the First Baptist Church in Normangee before relocating in 2014 to the Geelan House Community Center. Staffed primarily by dedicated volunteers, the Pantry is open on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Individuals seeking assistance must be present. The Pantry is also willing to accommodate those with special circumstances. Thanks to your generous donations throughout the year, the Pantry is able to support numerous families and individuals in need. We appreciate your efforts in keeping our shelves stocked.

This month, we are actively collecting canned soup. Please drop off your contributions at the Chapel during office hours or on Sundays in our donation box in the sanctuary foyer.
