We begin in Chapter 12 Where Jesus teaches the kind of attitude those who will face persecution should have, to not fear persecution, and to realize your great value to God.

Luke Lesson 23 Study Questions

1.    This is an evil generation. It seeks a sign: Jesus said this to the thick crowd, rebuking their inclination to seek and value signs. Jesus just mentioned the blessedness of being one who ______ and ____ God’s word; the contrast is the one who seeks a sign.

2.    The point is clear: the queen of the South and the men of Nineveh were both Gentiles, but they had a more open ________ to the things of God than the _________ people of Jesus’ day, who would not believe and receive the work of God right before their eyes.

3.    No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand: Just as a lamp should be displayed out in the open so that all can benefit from its light, so the word and work of God should be displayed.
