Last week we ended with Jesus announcing His coming fate in Jerusalem for the fourth time, and the disciples still not understanding. This week Jesus heals a blind beggar in Jericho and Zacchaeus climbs a tree to see Jesus.
Luke Lesson 35 Study Questions
1. As He was coming near Jericho: In the Gospels of Matthew (20:29) and Mark (10:46), this miracle is said to happen as Jesus and the crowd were leaving Jericho. The seeming contradiction in Luke is understood in the light of archaeology, which has discovered that by Jesus’ time there were two cities of Jericho: the _______ city, and the _____ Roman city.
